Learning virtually demands that parents think differently about how to support their children.
Establishing routines, creating learning spaces and monitoring their learning are some of the challenges.
Check the parents and students roles and responsibilities below and make sure to read the full
Virtual Learning Program policy (also available in French and Japanese).

Keep Your Family Healthy!
Online classes and booklets inspire and help students, parents and employees to be at their physical, mental and emotional best – especially while learning and working from home.
Coronavirus - ISC Updates
Make sure to check ISC's Coronavirus page daily to keep up to date with the school operation level and communications on the subject.
Thank you, families!
All ISC employees came together to recognize and appreciate parents and students' hard work during our Virtual Learning Program. Enjoy!
● For communication purposes, ISC uses Zoom Meetings,
a video conferencing tool that allows parents, students and school personnel to meet online.
● To access students grades and communication, go to
PowerSchool & Unified Classroom.
ISC will continue to use the same channels it employs for normal day-to-day communications with the parent(s)/adult caregiver(s), students, and faculty/staff. All of these systems are remotely accessible and will function in an emergency situation.
Yes, ISC's systems are already built on cloud-based systems, including Unified Classroom/PowerSchool and Google Suite. These systems will continue to work from anywhere in the world, even during an emergency. ISC's data is not physically hosted on the school's network, which means we can continue to use our systems during a crisis, even if buildings are damaged or our campus is inaccessible. Finally, each of our primary systems has multiple administrators, so they can be managed remotely (from anywhere, online) by more than one person, in the event that a system administrator is out of contact or unavailable.
MS and HS students bring their devices home every night. Grades 3 to 5 students have access to Chromebooks at ISC. In the event of a campus closure, teachers will attempt to ensure grades 3 to 5 students have access to a device. In addition, most of our technology tools are not device specific, which means students will be able to access learning through parental devices, tablets, phones, etc in the event that they cannot access their school device.
