The Arts
The future will be Creative
How important is it to have a great Arts Program in a school? Your child may want to be a scientist, a lawyer, or even a doctor… professions that might not have anything to do with music, drama, or painting.
But when involved in these activities, students develop at least three of the top skills amazing professionals will need from now on, according to the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report: Problem-solving, Critical Thinking, and Creativity.
ISC teaches for the future, therefore, and probably our students will be dealing with advanced robotics and artificial intelligence in their workplace. But robots can’t be as creative as humans.

SAAC Fine Arts Festival
South American Activities Conference (SAAC) Fine Arts Festival is an event that includes international schools from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay. The purpose is to discuss art in its various strands, such as drama, music, film, and visual arts, allowing the students to develop their talents and improve their skills in three days of intense training and presentations. Participating in events like this, students can expand their world view by being immersed in different cultures.
Annual Drama Production
ISC Middle & High students produce a robust play every school year. The drama production, which can be an original piece or an adaptation of a classic, is the result of months of preparation that includes acting rehearsals, costume and set design, and singing and dancing practice. This process allows our students to have a full comprehension of all steps in the production of a drama play while developing their skills and talents.
IB Visual Arts
The IB Diploma visual arts is a thought-provoking course in which students develop analytical skills in problem-solving and divergent thinking, while working towards technical proficiency and confidence as art-makers. In addition to exploring and comparing visual arts from different perspectives and in different contexts, students are expected to engage in, experiment with critically reflect upon a wide range of contemporary practices and media. The course is designed for students who want to go to study visual arts in higher education as well as for those who are seeking lifelong enrichment through visual arts.
