Technology & A.I.

The 1st school in Brazil to fully incorporate A.I. in learning

At ISC, we focus on how technology and artificial intelligence can augment human intelligence.

ISC recognizes the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform the educational landscape. For us, AI is a valuable tool to enhance learning, personalize instruction, and support students and educators.

However, alongside these opportunities, we recognize the ethical considerations and challenges AI presents. As a forward-thinking institution, we are committed to navigating these complexities with care and integrity.

"At ISC, we equip our students to use AI tools effectively while fostering an understanding of the broader implications of their digital actions, guiding them to make responsible, safe, and ethical decisions that reflect strong character and digital citizenship, preparing them to thrive in a technology-driven future."

Daniela Silva
Director of ESG, Strategy & Innovation at ISC

ISC is the 1st school in Latin America to become an AI Innovator Partner with MagicSchool

Through this groundbreaking partnership, we are enhancing teaching and learning by integrating advanced AI tools into our classrooms. These innovations empower our teachers with personalized resources, streamline lesson planning, and provide students with adaptive learning experiences that cater to individual needs. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for a technology-driven future.

Technology Beyond the Classrooms

#Ai4Good | Using AI for social good and positive impact on society

ISC was thrilled to invite other schools globally to participate in an exciting journey of learning, innovation, and global partnership. The #Ai4Good initiative was designed to empower students from grades 2-10 to not only master the essentials of artificial intelligence but also to apply their new-found knowledge in solving real-world challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Hour of Ethical A.I.

Inspired by the global Hour of Code movement, ISC is leading the #HourOfEthicalAI, in December 2024. This initiative aims to spark meaningful conversations about the ethics of artificial intelligence and provide guidance on its responsible use.

Through engaging activities and discussions, students and educators will explore how AI shapes our world, the importance of ethical decision-making, and ways to navigate this powerful technology with care and integrity.

Artificial Intelligence Intensive | Winter 2025

The International School of Curitiba will host an in-person, pre-college, project-based AI program by Inspirit AI. This esteemed AI education program, developed and taught by graduates from Stanford and MIT, will take place from Friday, January 31, to Sunday, February 2, 2025.

ISC Students in grades 8 to 12 will learn the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, engage in discussions about AI ethics and bias, and complete a collaborative project applying AI to fields such as healthcare, astronomy, and finance.
