Athletics & Activities
Sports and other extracurricular activities are important to develop personal skills and stimulate different interests. For this reason, they are a key component of the ISC student experience. The practice of sports also motivates students to compete fairly, with proper consideration for ethics, respect and fellowship.

Counseling
School life brings a series of discoveries and challenges which include the physical and psychological growth of students. The ISC counseling team assists them in overcoming these challenges.
Social Emotional Learning
Through SEL, students are encouraged to not only understand and manage their own emotions, but to set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.
Service Learning
Service learning at our school combines learning objectives with community service in order to provide a pragmatic, progressive learning experience while meeting societal needs.
Design & Innovation
Teaching For The Future is about developing a mindset of innovation. We teach creativity, critical thinking, engineering and design in a learning space built to meet this purpose.
Sustainability
Being exposed to nature and preservation challenges creates the context in which our school operates regarding sustainability. We believe this is an essential piece in teaching for the future. Our sustainability and environmental education involves our students and the entire community in events, special classes and outdoor activities constantly looking for better ways to save energy, reduce waste and make our campus greener.
The Common Ground Collaborative
The Common Ground Collaborative is a project that assembled a team of world-class writers and designers to deconstruct the traditional education system and redesign it. With the International School of Curitiba and other 20 international schools around the world, the CGC has developed a functional Learning Ecosystem by Defining, Designing, Demonstrating and Delivering Learning in a visible manner.
Research-Informed Practices
Assessment
At ISC, students take ownership over their own learning. Through learning targets, teachable concepts that students should master by the end of the course, teachers track progress, give appropriate feedback and adapt instruction to meet student needs.
Research Schools International
Research Schools International (RSI) is an independent organization, created inside Harvard University, that partners researchers with schools around the world. ISC is the sole RSI partner school in Brazil.
