WHY DOES ISC HAVE AN ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM?
Our school is growing and evolving and we need to design and build new facilities as well as enhance learning opportunities for all our students in areas such as academics, design and technology, performing and fine arts and by developing and retaining the best teachers possible.
The elementary classrooms are a priority and our student body would benefit from a larger restaurant. With increased and expanded facilities, we can develop our academic and extra-curricular programs using dedicated spaces.
We can achieve both our short- & long-term strategic goals faster and support the financial viability of our school.
Your gift supports annual enhancement projects and helps fund major improvements and expansions as part of the Master Plan.
What inspires people to give is highly individual and based on personal circumstances and motivation, but the results are mutual: Gifts to our Advancement Program enhance the learning and lives of our students; promote excellence in teaching; support campus improvements and help others in need.
Whatever it is that motivates you to MAKE A GIFT to our Advancement Program – pride in your child’s accomplishments, commitment to international education, the memory of a teacher at ISC, supporting people in need or simply the joy of giving to others – we truly appreciate everyone’s generosity and value your personal engagement in our community.
WHY NOT JUST RAISE TUITION?
Tuition is intended to pay for, and only covers, the teaching and learning costs. Voluntary gifts allow the school to strengthen and enhance its programs, faculty and learning environments at levels well beyond those that can be paid through tuition alone.
ISC is a non-profit educational institute. Each year the school spends around 80% of tuition fees paying for the best teachers hired from overseas or locally and 20% on operational costs.

WILL MY GIFT BE RECOGNIZED?
Yes, all gifts are recognized. Names of donors are listed under their Giving Level category in our annual ISC REPORT. The list does NOT include the amount donated.
When making your gift, please be sure to let us know under which name(s) you would like your gift to be recognized. Gifts may also remain anonymous in our report, by request.
Other areas where gifts may be recognized are: Pages of our Website, WINDOW Magazine, Financial Audit Report and other ISC communications.
WHAT ABOUT GOVERNANCE?
CAN I GIVE SOMETHING OTHER THAN MONEY AS A GIFT?
CAN I DESIGNATE THE PROJECT OR CATEGORY IN WHICH I WANT MY GIFT TO BE PLACED?
Gifts to the ISC Annual Fund are unrestricted gifts, meaning they go toward the priority areas established by the Community and School Leadership Team, and endorsed each year by the Board.
Gifts to the ISC Major Gift Fund may be designated to a specific project or program in discussion with the Advancement Office and as approved by the Board.
Our Pledge Form allows donors to let us know what area(s) they are most interested in supporting, ensuring we establish projects each year in categories that reflect our community’s interest.
WILL ALL THE MONEY DONATED TO THE ISC ANNUAL FUND BE SPENT ANNUALLY?
IS MY GIFT TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
DOES A DONATION INCREASE MY CHILD'S CHANCES OF ADMISSION TO ISC?
No. A financial contribution to ISC is a sign of support for the students and the school, but it does not influence decisions on Admissions. All students and families will receive the same high level of service from the school regardless of whether or not they make a gift to ISC.
