The environment is everyone’s responsibility
Preserving the natural resources of our planet is a priority at ISC.
We Take Action
At ISC we count on a team of sustainability Coordinators and a student council focused on green initiatives.
We have adopted different measures to take care of our planet:
A campus 100% free of plastic straws and cups
Separation of garbage in all dependencies of the school
Campaigns about the conscious use of water and energy
Our own composting center in the ISC campus
Our Projects
Responsible Consumption Campaign
Once a month we have a Green Day in the Early Childhood Center. During these days our younger students engage in Responsible Consumption Initiatives, such as the exchange of toys and books donated by our families.
The Sustainability Market
Based on the Elementary School Social Studies curriculum developed over the United Nations Goals of Sustainable Development, this project led by Grade 4 students and local suppliers, encourages the community to consume sustainable and organic products from local businesses and farmers. The Sustainability Market happens every Friday afternoon at ISC.
Eco-friendly Cleaning Solutions
Partenering with Onda Eco, the ISC maintenance team uses ecological cleaning products to ensure a clean campus and a safe environment for our students. To assure a sustainable future, we invest on responsible actions.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. Since 2019 the 17 Sustainable development goals are embedded in ISC’s schoolwide social studies curriculum.
