High School

Defining the Future

The moment in our lives when big decisions need to be made and our school experiences help define our future. In our High School, your child’s development happens through a wide range of opportunities.

Student ownership and responsibility over learning

Teaching for the future means providing students with competencies and academic rigor so they are able to make informed decisions about their future and achieve success in their journey after they graduate.

The High School years at ISC are an intense and rich experience. Our Diploma Programs are designed to meet students’ diverse learning profiles, enabling them to widen their experiences during Grades 9 and 10 and focus on what’s most important in Grades 11 and 12.

Developing curiosity, skills and knowledge to support student's ambitions and decisions after ISC.

What Makes Us Unique

Classroom Without Walls

Our CWW program provides students a valuable opportunity to experience in person what they have only learned during classes. The purpose is to increase and extend their knowledge while traveling to destinations all around Brazil. It happens yearly and has no extra cost, as it is included in tuition.

Wildcat Block

Every day our High School students have a dedicated time on their schedule to focus on academic support, advisory activities and Social & Emotional well-being. It is our goal to graduate well-rounded individuals, focusing on their academic excellence but also on their character development.

Life Skills Week

After final exams, Grade 12 students dedicate an entire week o learning life skills that will prepare them for life after ISC. This week before graduation focuses on activities such as cooking, laundry, home economics, resume development, and other activities of student's interests.

IB Diploma Programme

The IBDP is a comprehensive and rigorous program that equips our students for future life decisions by nurturing inquiring, well-informed, and caring life-long learners.

At ISC, the program includes the IB core and up to 26 subjects divided into 6 different areas, for student choice. By completing the full IB program in the final 2 years of high school, students graduate with the IB diploma, which is highly valuable for university acceptance.

University Acceptance

College counseling at ISC follows a structured differentiation process, based on the students’ needs and ambitions. During the High School years, the college counselor works closely with students to help bring clarity and support to the application process, as well as peace of mind for families by matching the student’s learning profile and needs to the right institution.

Our Sports Program

Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Cross Country are some of the sports and activities offered to High School students. At ISC they will find many opportunities to play, practice, develop and take part in national and international tournaments.

Student-led Clubs

ISC students have the chance to explore a wide range of clubs and activities in our ISC Academy program.  The student-led clubs provide them with incredible opportunities beyond the classroom for growth, personal and academic development.

In weekly meetings, students collaborate on projects and initiatives in their areas of interest, such as business and career, marketing, cooking, and women empowerment, amongst others.
