On Friday, September 30th, ISC grade 5 A students presented a research project on native cultures. They have been working on this project for severals weeks. The students were divided into groups and instructed to choose a tribe. They were instructed to come up with questions and then answer those questions about the life of their tribe using research skills.
The students could use books and the internet to find sources of reliable information. “We can’t use Wikipedia,” said the student Leticia da Silva.
After they completed their research, each group created a graphic representation of the native cultures. They were very creative, including the use of balloons, mockups and other materials. As a way of sharing their knowledge, the 5th graders presented their work to other ISC students.
